If you have reason to believe that you were cheated, please e-mail the Khan and SaKhan with the exact details of the incident, including enimy mechs, weapon load out, starting RP, etc.... but DOo report the loss as normal.  Those who cheat have no honor, and neither to those who fail to verify losses.  If the Khan and/or SaKhan feel that your battle should be voided they will make the decision and take the necessary steps to have the battle officially voided on Starlance.

Known or suspected cheaters will NOT be played by ANY IH commander for ANY reason.  Their names and crimes will be posted in the Banded List

On a related note:  IH WILL NOT TOLERATE CHEATERS WITHIN OUR OWN RANKS.   We will take every step possible to make sure EVERYBODY knows that you are a cheater and that you get banned from Starlance perminatally.  CHEATERS SUCK!

The goals of our Clan are simple. We will increase our strength with infusions of well trained warriors, we will defend ourselves from any foolish enough to attack, and we will carve up the Inner Sphere like a roast as we drive on Terra.

Clan Ice Hellion is a traditional Clan. We will not tolerate poor sportsmanship, dishonorable conduct, or cheating within our ranks.

promot.gif (3351 bytes)

We strongly support promotions within our clan.  If you feel you deserve a higher rank you may challenge your direct superior to a Trial of Position, when doing so the following rules MUST be followed:

  1. Trial of Positions within our ranks adhere STRICTLY TO STARLANCE POLICIES, no exceptions.
  2. Trial of Positions within our ranks will also adhere to the IH rules for Trials.  ie. Capture Nothing, No Repairs, No Vehicles, etc...
  3. When you wish to challenge your superior officer, e-mail the official challenge to your opponent, Khan Gator, and SaKhan Prowler.  The challenged warrior has 7 days in which to give you the Trial.  Failure to do so will result in the automatic demotion of the challenged and promotion of the challenger.  If the challenged is unavailable during that 7 day period, he must inform the Khan and the SaKhan.  They will adjudicate the issue.
  4. Each commander is allowed only ONE Rank Challenge per week, period.
  5. You may only challenge one rank above your current rank, this is not Starlance policy but it will provide more stability to our clan structure.
  6. Challenges may also be called for commanders from another Galaxy.  If this is done, the challenger may only make a lateral challenge.  This means if a Nova Captain wants to move to another Galaxy, he would have to challenge and defeat the Nova Captain from the other Galaxy.  If the challenger wins the battle he switches places with the loser of the battle.
  7. If the challenger looses, he is immediately demoted one rank.  This will stop frivolous challenges, but leave open the option for serious challenges.
  8. The SaKhan may not be challenged.  If there is a problem and the Galaxy Commanders and their Cluster Commander ALL agree that there is a problem, the Khan will remove the SaKhan and appoint another.  This is to promote stability within the upper echelon of the command structure.

If you challenge for Cluster Colonel or Galaxy Commander these rules also apply:

  1. All challenges for these two ranks must take place on the Capture the Base map, NOT arena.  The reason for this is simple:  We need leaders with tactics and Arena just doesn't cut it.
  2. A failed Challenge will result in the looser dropping TWO ranks, not the standard ONE rank.  One rank drop for the loss of the challenge and the second rank drop for dishonoring the Cluster Colonel / Galaxy Commander by making  the assumption he / she is not worthy and issuing the challenge.  (NOTE:  this is to help promote stability in these two high ranking positions)  If the current Cluster Colonel / Galaxy Commander loses then he / she simply drops one rank as normal, the extra rank loss is only in effect for the challenger.
  3. Challenges will be bound by the old Starlance weight and RP limits.  This give the higher ranked Ice Hellion the advantage.  If the lower ranked member does defeat the higher ranked one, then it is obvious that he is the better of the two and more deserving of the rank not just luckier.
  4. The higher ranked player will also decide the terms of the game, ie. artilery allowed? boats allowed? mech modifications allowed? etc...

recruit.gif (3289 bytes)

We are currently recuiting as our Command Structure still has a few positions open, if you wish to become a member of IH go here.

Any member of IH who grants a Trial of Positionl must adhere to the following guidlines:

  1. The recruit receives 110000k, and may only use ONE MECH
  2. The following MAY NOT BE USED; sensors, repairs, turrets, containers or vehicles.
  3. Anyone not given the Trial by IH-Prowler or IH-Gator will start with the rank of Point. They may then challenge as normal to gain rank.
  4. The IH Warrior giving the Trial must e-mail IH-Gator (or IH-Prowler if IH-Gator is unavailable) to report if the recruit passed the test.
  5. The recruit is responsible for joining the Starlance League. Anyone not in the league will not be admitted into our ranks. Be sure to emphasize this.
  6. The recruits will fight the following mech in order: 1st wave will be a Madcat-A and Uller-A, 2nd wave will be a Hunchback-A and Cougar-A, and the last wave will be 2 Vultures.
  7. IH members conducting the trial may not modify their mechs.
  8. The recuit must successfully kill at least one mech to pass the Trial.
